Random Phone Call
Sometimes phone calls are ways to talk with strangers! As an Arbonne consultant,
several years ago I bought an ad on the interent that geolocates me where people
are looking for sales reps from different network marketing companies, it is called FindSalesRep.
And sometimes I get clients from it. Sometimes I get someone I can not help because
they need something quickly in a town I am actually not in. Today was one of
those days, however it was another Arbonne consultant seeking support. The
conversation went somewhat like this:
"Hi Julie, this is Kimberly and I am also
an Arbonne consultant! I am drive cross country and we are out WEST and heading
into Billings, Montana tonight. We have been trying to find other Arbonne
consultant who would let up pop-up our tent in their backyard for the night. We
should be in around 9pm and out by 9am. Could we stay in your yard?"
"Hi Kimberly! Yes I am an Arbonne consultant, however I am not in Billings, Montana.
You reached me through a Nationwide ad I placed. What you are doing sounds
amazing and very cool. However I still might be able to help you! At GTC in 2015
(I think it was), I met a consultant from Montana and we have stayed in touch on
and off all these years! Let me do a 3-way call and connect the two of you! I
have no clue if she is in Billings, but she is super warm and nice and I can't
imagine her not being helpful!"

message was left for our Montana sideline.
Sometimes being an Arbonne consultant
feels like it is "about the sale" helping someone with products to help them
bring better skincare, bath & body products and nutritional products into their home. Other times it is about LISTENING!
In fact all sales no matter the widget is about LISTENING. Arbonne's former
President, Rita Davenport would often share that "God gave you ONE mouth and TWO ears so that you listening more than you talk!" My mother and business partner also said that a handful of times to me growing up! Kimberly
and I went on to have a wonderful conversation about where we are in our lives,
in our business and agreed to also be accountability partners in some ways
checking in, sharing tips and encouraging each other to get to our goals. My
parting words to her were, "Kimberly, clearly being involved in the network
marketing industry is not just about sales of products, but just about plain old
networking!" I wish Kimberly and family an amazing journey across this beautiful
country and luck finding all the backyard they need until back home to
